Getting a Honda options list

  1. Start from the trim

Honda builds most US cars in fixed trim levels with a few packages, so the trim decoded from the VIN (above, when NHTSA has it) already describes most of the equipment. Dealer- or port-installed accessories are not encoded in the VIN and may not be on any factory record.

  2. Ask a Honda or Acura dealer's service desk

Any franchised Honda or Acura dealer can look up the factory build record from the VIN in the manufacturer's system. Many will print or email it on request, sometimes for free and sometimes for a small fee. Call the service desk rather than sales.

  3. Check the original paperwork

The original window sticker (Monroney label), purchase contract or dealer invoice lists factory options and packages. Sellers often keep it in the glovebox or manual wallet.

  4. Buying? Pair it with a history report

A build sheet tells you how the car left the factory. Title brands, accidents and odometer records are a separate check: a vehicle history report (NMVTIS-backed) covers those.

FAQ

Can I see my Honda's options from the VIN?

Not from the VIN itself. It encodes the model, year, plant and (sometimes) trim, but not individual options. Honda and Acura don't publish window stickers by VIN, but US Hondas come in fixed trims with very few factory options.

Same process for: Acura.
