Porsche window sticker & build sheet by VIN
Porsche doesn't publish window stickers or build data by VIN, and the free third-party lookups that once showed Porsche options stopped working years ago. These routes still work, free ones first.
For US-market vehicles. Enter your Porsche VIN to get the decode, NHTSA recalls and complaints, and the steps below with direct links for your car.
Getting a Porsche options list
Find the vehicle data label
Look in the Warranty & Maintenance booklet (manual wallet). On older cars (996 and early 997) the option sticker can also be under the front lid. On many Macans and other recent cars the label shows only 2 or 3 codes (engine, paint, interior), not the full list.
My Porsche portal (owners)
Add the car to your My Porsche account, then open the car → About my vehicle → Technical data → Vehicle Specification & Technical Data. Owners report this lists the factory equipment. Availability varies by country and model year.
Ask any Porsche Centre
Ask the service desk for the vehicle information printout for your VIN (owners report receiving a "PCSS Vehicle Information" sheet with every option and code), or a recreated window sticker. Many Centres do this free for owners.
Certificate of Authenticity
Porsche's official certificate lists the factory specification. You order it through a Porsche Centre, and fees apply.
Instant build sheet (VIN Analytics)
The fastest paid route, and the one Porsche forums recommend most. VIN Analytics lists window stickers at $9.99 and decoding reports at $9.99 to $12.99 (prices as shown on its homepage, Oct 2026).
Then decode every code here
Paste the codes from any of the above into our Porsche option-code decoder (2,600+ codes across 911, Boxster/Cayman, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera and Taycan generations).
Buying? Pair it with a history report
A build sheet tells you how the car left the factory. Title brands, accidents and odometer records are a separate check: a vehicle history report (NMVTIS-backed) covers those.
FAQ
Can I see my Porsche's options from the VIN?
Not from the VIN itself. It encodes the model, year, plant and (sometimes) trim, but not individual options. Porsche doesn't publish window stickers or build data by VIN, and the free third-party lookups that once showed Porsche options stopped working years ago. These routes still work, free ones first.
How do I check Porsche recalls by VIN?
Use NHTSA's official lookup at nhtsa.gov/recalls or the Porsche official VIN recall lookup. Our VIN check lists every campaign NHTSA has for the model year.
