Audi window sticker & build sheet by VIN
VW and Audi record options as three-character PR codes, printed on a vehicle data label that is usually still in the car.
For US-market vehicles. Enter your Audi VIN to get the decode, NHTSA recalls and complaints, and the steps below with direct links for your car.
Getting a Audi options list
Find the PR-code label
Look for a white vehicle data label covered in three-character PR codes. It is usually in the spare-wheel well or under the luggage-compartment floor, and it is often repeated in the service booklet.
Ask a Volkswagen or Audi dealer's service desk
Any franchised Volkswagen or Audi dealer can look up the full PR-code list from the VIN in the manufacturer's system. Many will print or email it on request, sometimes for free and sometimes for a small fee. Call the service desk rather than sales.
Decoding PR codes
PR codes are a Volkswagen Group system shared with Porsche, but a code can mean different things on different models. Our database currently covers Porsche meanings only.
Buying? Pair it with a history report
A build sheet tells you how the car left the factory. Title brands, accidents and odometer records are a separate check: a vehicle history report (NMVTIS-backed) covers those.
FAQ
Can I see my Audi's options from the VIN?
Not from the VIN itself. It encodes the model, year, plant and (sometimes) trim, but not individual options. VW and Audi record options as three-character PR codes, printed on a vehicle data label that is usually still in the car.
Same process for: Volkswagen.
